Dear St. Philip School Families & Students,
As principal of St. Philip Catholic School, it is my pleasure to say welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. A new school year provides each of us with the welcomed opportunity to begin again with renewed faith and trust in all that God has in store for us individually and collectively. Together with administration, teachers and staff, it is our privilege to lead this vibrant community and to serve our families and students.
The diocesan theme this school year is Eucharistic Renewal. As we proceed through this school year we will remember that He is always with us through the body and blood of Christ. As our school's guiding scripture this year we have chosen:
"Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to me will not hunger, and he who believes in me will never thirst." -- John 6:35
We hope all students, families, faculty and staff keep this scripture in mind during our daily prayers and reflections.
I want to extend a special thank you to this school community as I am transitioning into this new role as principal. The overwhelming amount of support and welcoming messages has warmed my heart and has made me confident that I have joined an amazing community. I am especially excited to get to know each student and family.
Yours in Christ,
Kellie Kelsey
Principal
