St. Philip Catholic School

My name is Katie Riney and I was raised on a farm near Mt. Vernon.  I attended St. Matthew School and Mt. Vernon High School before heading to Indiana University for my undergraduate degree.  I earned a degree in elementary education with endorsements in math and computers.  Upon graduating from IU, I taught 5^th grade for one year at Hedges Elementary in Mt. Vernon and 4^th grade for one year at Christ the King in Evansville before arriving at St. Philip.  For the past six years here, my primary teaching responsibility has been 5^th-8^th grade math.  I’ve also taught science, religion, health, and art.  This past summer, I married Bart Riney and we live on the west side of Evansville.
