The third
grade studied conservation of natural resources in science.
Each student collected aluminum cans used by their family for one week.
Then we weighed the cans and created a bar graph from our data.
We discovered by using a formula that the class saved 24.5 square feet
landfill in just one week.
About Our Teacher
My name is Jenny Burris and I
received my undergraduate degree from USI, and my Master's degree
from Indiana State University. This is my seventeenth year of
teaching, and my 15th year with the Evansville Catholic Diocese. I
began teaching third grade at St. Philip in 1999. I am married to
Kent Burris and we have one son and a daughter-in-law, Clay and
Ashley. We live on eastside of Evansville.
